+150% Traffic: Ahmedabad Cafe SEO Audit Case Study

The Client

A mid-sized cafe located in Satellite, Ahmedabad. They had been operating for 2 years but were getting almost no organic traffic from Google. Most customers found them through word of mouth or by walking past.

The Problem: When people searched “best cafe near me” or “cafe in Satellite Ahmedabad”, this cafe did not appear on the first 5 pages of Google.


Step 1: Technical SEO Audit

I ran a full technical audit using free tools: Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, and Screaming Frog (free version).

Issues Found:

Step 2: Keyword Research

I identified 35 local keywords with high intent and low to medium competition.

Step 3: On-Page SEO Optimization

Changes Made to the Website:

  1. Title Tags – Rewrote all 8 title tags to include primary + secondary keywords
    • Before: "Home | Cafe Name"
    • After: "Cafe Name – Best Cafe in Satellite Ahmedabad | Coffee & Breakfast"
  2. Meta Descriptions – Added compelling descriptions with CTAs

  3. Header Tags – Restructured H1, H2, H3 hierarchy
    • H1: Main page title with keyword
    • H2: Section headers
    • H3: Sub-sections
  4. Content Updates – Added location-specific content
    • Created “Cafe near Prahlad Nagar” section
    • Added “Cafe near ISKCON Temple” section
    • Included nearby landmark references
  5. Image Optimization – Added alt text to all images, compressed file sizes

Their GBP was only 40% complete. I fully optimized it:
